George Soros is the founder of the Soros Fund Management LLC. He was born in Hungary in 1930 but fled the country at the very tender age of 17 in 1947, just after the Second World War. He went to London where he put himself through the London School of Economics working as a waiter and as a railway porter to raise enough money for school fees and upkeep.
